Fun and Games at Galilee Day
St Dominic's Church Yaba held its 2022 Easter
Galilee at Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba on Monday, April 18,
2022.
The day of mega fun and events started at
10am with Holy Mass. It was followed by
a slew of exciting activities, starting with a novelty football matches
between Catholic Men Organisation (CMO) and Catholic Women Organisation (CWO). CWO
stole the show with two rugby goals versus the lone football goal of CMO.
In other activities, Catholic Youth Organisation
of Nigeria – CYON (Males) took on Teens club (Females) in a keenly contested match
that ended 1-1. The over 65 years old took to the dance floor with three
winners emerging, children formed long lines to enjoy the bouncy castle brought
in for them and a delicious Galilee Day cake was cut by the Pastor, Rev. Fr. Charles
Onwordi, OP, supported by the three 65+ dance winners and parishioners.
It was a day of religious fulfilment as well
as excitement and fun. The parish SCCs were fully represented as each SCC had a
canopy of members, food, drinks and laughter.
